About me

I’m a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based writer with reporting in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Vice and local publications around the Midwest. Check out some of my work here.

My background is in political and investigative reporting. I started my career writing about City Halls and state politics in Michigan and North Dakota; I’ve since published stories on drug sentencing reform, climate change, housing policy and beyond.

I now assist major news outlets with on-the-ground reporting in West Michigan and am researching a book on wolf hunting.
